Been there, done that. They NEVER stay secret. Other people knew about mine, I knew about other people's. You will act different when you're around each other, and somebody will see something they were'nt supposed to.
So, plan for that and act accordingly. If your work situation (one of you is the boss...) makes it against the rules, fix the situation before you get involved. If you're just worried about what people think, decide whether you can deal with that. Definitely, think about how you'll need to handle it if it doesn't work out.
I dated a guy I worked with. Everybody loved him, but he really wasn't such a great guy, especially to me. By the time we split, he didn't work there anymore, but they all still though he was wonderful. It wasn't fun, but I had to get the message fast that if I said anything negative about him it would just make me look bad. It was hard to be hurt and not be able to talk about it, but it was the only way to handle it.
Behave in a professional manner, while on the clock. The thing is, co-workers thrive on that stuff..... theres always someone who catches a stare, or something, so if it stays discreet, Ill be surprised.
I hope neither person involved are currently married, because that would just be wrong!

Don't tell anyone. Make sure you don't do anything while at the office. Actually, office romances never stay secret. Someone will eventually find out and it'll probably be the office gossip. The workplace is the worst when it comes to gossip. You wouldn't believe the stuff I hear in the restroom and the funny thing is, I don't even work with all these people.
Highly unlikely you will ever keep that a secret -- the walls have ears! And keep in mind that office romances will be awkward when they end. People should think long %26amp; hard about having an office romance.

You both should have a mutual understanding of not wanting to ';air'; your laundry at work. So as long as that standard is set, then go about your business at work like nothing is going on... and remember, you can't trust everybody at work with your business either...
